The Opportunity/The Role:
Following the acquisition of a well respected Edinburgh based financial advice firm, our client is looking to strengthen its presence in the Scottish capital and surrounding region by growing the financial planning team. A key requirement in this strategy is the appointment of a Senior Paraplanner.
In this role, you will be an integral member of the financial planning team, supporting a team of Financial Planners. You will provide technical research across the full spectrum of financial products, ensuring that the preparation of advice is of the highest quality and meets all compliance obligations. You will work closely with the Financial Planners providing a first class service to their clients.

To be considered for this role, you will:
- hold Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent
- have previous experience of working as a Paraplanner or in a role involving and requiring strong financial planning technical knowledge
- possess strong literacy, numerical, and analytical skills
- be competent using technology including technical research tools
- be skilled in conveying financial advice and recommendations through report writing and suitability reports
- possess an eye for detail and a 'right first time' approach
- be a strong communicator, able to influence and build effective relationships with colleagues and clients
